the amusing secrets of a-muse-ing

Okay, this true confessions time, the time when you get to know the rjlight that you thought you never or never cared to know.

1. I went to NerdTests and found out I am lightly nerdy.

I am nerdier than 44% of all people. Are you a nerd? Click here to find out!

2. Then I went to The Gender Genie and found out I was barely feminine–almost a tie there were 5 numbers separating me from being transgender. This was actually an improvement–I put my text in there a month ago and I was clearly male. I’m not worried though.

3. I also had my writing analyzed somewhere — I can’t remember where — and I write like a 6th grader. Apparently this is good– it means more people will understand my writing. So why did I graduate from college? I guess I need to add words like coruscating and aplomb into my posts–hey, I just did!

3. On the positive side, Albert Einstein liked ice cream — need I say more.

4. And Jerry Seinfeld likes cereal –I ate it for dinner last night.

So, now you know all about this author, rjlight. I feel exposed, like I was interrogated under blinding lights. I must go eat some cereal.

Well, apparently I am also Lightly Nerdy.

Hey! I used ‘aplomb’ in yesterday’s post! It’s like we’re twins.

What kind of cereal are you eating?

Lucid — glad you enjoyed it — lightly nerdy like me!

Luisa — so much like twins I am eating as I type Trader Joe’s Trek Mix Granola Sweet and Salty — I’m addicted to it. Now if you eat that too I will just freak out!

I got 46, I always knew I was somewhat nerdy, oh well, that’s life. Lucky for me, my husband’s kind of a nerd too, so we fit perfectly together. I did the gender test too with a blog entry and came out definitely female – whew!

Theresa — I’m glad you don’t have to worry about your gender like I do! 🙂

    Luisa — GET OUT!

Good to know … I think?

    I KNOW!

Except. I just had a minute and ran one of my recent blog entries through the Gender Genie. Apparently I’m overwhelmingly male–by over 700 points. So if we are twins, it’s the fraternal kind.

Doesn’t lightly nerdy just mean that don’t need to diet?

    I’m just asking.

I love these kind of tests! It makes me feel I am fifteen years old again and sneaking through my sister’s Cosmo. I’m not sure why I am proud of this, but I am highly nerdy (86!–could it be because I immediately knew Isaac Newton’s face?). And the gender genie saw me as very female (1413 vs. 899), which is reassuring after Saturday’s incident when someone asked if I were my husband’s son…

Brent — you are right! I feel so much better now!

Kara — I know what you are saying I love these tests too. I take psychology tests all the time — hmm, I think that automatically means I’m female… I was asked if my husband was my SON once — she was old and I’m convinced BLIND — my husband looks young but really I don’t have that many wrinkles!

Okay, you make me feel better.

It’s akin to the preganacy rule. If you’re not sure, don’t ask.
